OUR MEMBER’S PERSPECTIVE – WHERE BUSINESS BELONGS
We asked David CAPOCCI | Managing Partner | KPMG Luxembourg
The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg‘s new global campaign, “𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀” is a campaign that aims to provide a powerful platform for businesses to come together, drive growth, and make a real difference in the market. As part of this campaign, we will spotlight our members who have also answered three short questions for us!
Our questions to David:
What motivated you to join the British Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg?
The BCC is an essential element of the network defining the Luxembourg business landscape. Membership from over 300 companies and individuals, including from key areas of banking, fund management and insurance, enables the organization to feel the pulse of the main decision-makers in government and business both in Luxembourg and the UK. People are stronger together and this is our motto at KPMG, #TogetherforBetter. By building meaningful relations and harnessing our collective power we can achieve great success for Luxembourg. KPMG in Luxembourg is therefore delighted to contribute to the BCC’s events, governance and committees and looks forward to making a difference in our local market and community.
What is the hottest topic in your business right now?
Digital transformation and when I say digital, I mean the game-changing technologies that will revolutionize business. We’re living in one of the most exciting and fascinating times of modern history where humans can shape the business of the future. This digital transformation presents many opportunities but also many challenges: finding new ways of operating in more efficient and pragmatic ways, unlocking data, empowering innovation or transforming production and employment. It will take time and human expertise to unlock technology’s full potential in a way that’s responsible, trustworthy and safe. We’re however confident that together we can achieve great sustainable results.
What is the best piece of business advice you have received?
One piece of wisdom that has proven to be the compass of my managerial approach is the simple yet profound principle of “managing with common sense.” In the ever-evolving landscape of business, it’s easy to get bogged down by complexities and lose sight of the straightforward solutions that often lie right in front of us. Embracing common sense as a guiding principle has allowed me to cut through the noise, make sound decisions, and keep my focus on the essentials.
