OUR MEMBER’S PERSPECTIVE – WHERE BUSINESS BELONGS
Our questions to Unsworth & Associates:
What motivated you to join the British Chamber of Commerce Luxembourg?
As a Trust services provider established by Canadian founding partners and servicing a fair share of Anglo-Saxon clients, joining the BCC appears to us as a natural move. It is not only to enable us to know better and expand our ties with this community in the Grand-Duchy, but also to benefit from its efficient staff and the outstanding network events it organizes. In addition, it is the opportunity for us to work in closer conjunction with its regular feeders who, through the comprehensive legal and tax news they issue, help us to keep up to date on the latest business trends and hot topics. These newsletters are today an unparalleled tool for family-size companies like us which are eager to keep high standard practices in a permanently evolving environment.
What is the hottest topic in your business right now?
The implementation of new tax rules – DAC 6 and the unshell directive among others, and we assist our clients in this respect. Not to mention other new sensitive topics, such as sustainability and climate issues, which are tomorrow’s challenge for today’s clients.
Another hot topic is to keep maintaining a human and personalized relationship with all our clients, in a business landscape where other providers become so big that the client’s voice is sometimes not properly heard anymore.
What is the best piece of business advice you have received?
Always communicate and be transparent with clients. Transparency is key to trust. Communicating and listening carefully and regularly to their evolving needs, is the only way to keep taylor made services and to ensure the clients are satisfied.
